Ingezonden door Fatih / Hoi iedereen, ık ben Fatih. Ik kom uıt Turkije. Ik ben 22 jaar oud (Yes, my all Dutch skills are finished). This is my third month in the Netherlands and my first abroad experience. I remember my first day, I was surprised and admire to here. Especially after my university life, De Glind is pretty calm and small, but it’s really a great chance to discover the meaning of life and to focus myself. My hometown is İzmir and I lived in Istanbul for 4 years for my university education. These cities are really big and contemporary in Turkey, but when I saw this countries system I felt like I was traveling in time. Human rights, tolerance, environmental awareness, real democracy, art-museum culture etc. are really advanced. Yes, Turkey needs more education and time to understand somethings. I hope after my project I will share my experience with my country and maybe I can change something. Last summer I graduated in psychology. My education was too theoretic so I wanted to try practical things. That’s why I applied this project. I am helping to take care of the double disability children. To be honest, this work a little bit emotional for me, but every end of the day I feel so peaceful and grateful. My workplace name is Q Dreams – De Wijde Mantel -. I think this place is really unique and fascinating, because I never saw a place like this before. Everything is not only organized and planned but also so modern for the disabled persons. I help children with their daily needs and sometimes I do small activities with them. If you want to visit my workplace, we will always welcome you. I hope this year would be wonderful for everybody. Tot ziens!
